Important Reminder:
Please plan ahead—no entry is allowed when the gate is closed.


Park Hours

To ensure everyone has enough time to enjoy the day, please arrive early.

Plan Your Visit

  • Last entry into the park is 1 hour prior to park closing
  • Pier closes ½ hour prior to park closing (fishing, crabbing, and paddling stop at that time)
  • NOTICE: No entry is allowed when the gate is closed
  • Admission: Free

Effective November 4 Park Hours

🕘 9:00 a.m. to 8:00p.m.

(Reunion attendees should plan to arrive well before the last-entry time.)

Please keep all pets leashed and controlled at all times.


Park Permitted Activities

The park permits certain activities in designated areas and under special regulations. These are not official reunion activities, but may be available depending on park approval:

  • Fishing
  • Archery
  • Horseback riding
  • Camping
  • Hunting
  • Walking and biking on trails
  • Games involving thrown or propelled objects (only in designated areas)
  • Parking in designated areas only
  • Metal detecting (permitted only on Flag Ponds beach)
  • Dogs on leash allowed (except at Battle Creek Cypress Swamp and Nature Center)

Note: Please contact park staff if you plan to participate in any park-approved activities outside the reunion schedule.

All guests are expected to follow Calvert County park rules and regulations.

Park Prohibitions

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, the following are prohibited:

  • Parking in undesignated areas (roadways, dumpsters, vacant campsites)
    Violators may be towed at owner’s expense and risk ejection from the park
  • Car washing and waxing
  • Glass containers
  • Alcohol consumption outside of Wisner Hall without a special event permit and written permission
    No hard liquor – no exceptions
  • Public intoxication
  • Physical altercations
  • Smoking, vaping, or tobacco use in undesignated areas
    (Only allowed in designated outside areas and at least 100 feet from indoor entrances)
  • Firearms, rockets, and archery outside the archery range
  • Fireworks or fire of any kind
  • Unrestrained domestic animals (must be leashed or controlled)
  • Animals on trails, Battle Creek Cypress Swamp, and the Nature Center
  • Disturbing, hunting, or trapping animals without written permission
  • Cutting or carving tree bark
  • Digging or disturbing grassy areas
  • Diving, leaping, or falling from structures
  • Launching or operating drones/UAVs
  • Walking, bicycling, or skating outside designated areas
  • Metal detecting (except where permitted)
  • Amplified music or loud devices on the beach or in picnic areas
  • Golf practice and golf balls
  • Motor vehicles off-road (minibikes, trail bikes, etc.)
  • Balloons, moon bounces, or inflatables
  • Glitter, confetti, sequins
  • Gambling
  • Selling products without required permits and written permission
  • For-profit business activities
  • Posting materials or soliciting contributions
  • Generators without written permission
  • Gas grills, pull-behind grills, smokers, or deep fryers without written permission
  • Overnight stay or sleeping without written permission

While the park offers many activities, the Holland/Jones Family Reunion is focused on:

✅ Food, laughter, and memories
✅ Connecting the next generation to our family legacy
